We are in love with limes at our house. Someone uses one almost every day! We squeeze them into our Kombucha and LOVE LOVE LOVE them squeezed with a touch of sea salt and 100% real organic maple syrup.
Adding ice and mint leaves or mint extra only made this drink better! Amazing, refreshing and something that will satisfy your thirst without causing you an ounce of trouble.
If you want to cut sugar altogether, leave off the maple syrup and use truvia or stevia to taste and you have your own low calorie drink filled with enzymes and minerals from the lime and sea salt.
My recipe for the limeade and lemonade is so easy. I prefer limes and here it is:
3-4 organic limes squeezed
3-4 Tbls Maple syrup (no sugar added)
purified water to make 1 quart
stir, pour over ice and enjoy
add in a drop of mint extra or crush a few mint leaves and add them in (you could blend the mint leaves if you don’t want bites of mint in your drink) you could also add a pinch of celtic sea salt for minerals
This is basic recipe for the cleanse drink, but I just enjoy it over ice as a cold drink. I find I have lots more energy when I drink this as opposed to other drinks.
